USA v. France

The Eagles gave France a run for their money in the first half, but the French came back to score the go ahead try as time dwindled down.  USA captain Deven Owsiany was electric in the loss and energized her team with the first half score.  Owsiany was the recepient of an excellent line break by Jillion Potter.  Newcomer Bui Baravilala added the extras.

Two French scores in the second half were enough to edge the Eagles, but it was a hard fought encounter down the the last seconds.

USA v. China

China was shut out in the USA's second encounter of the day and the Eagles set the tone from the kickoff as Kelly Griffin handled the restart and worked her way down for a score in the opening seconds.  And so it went for a very long 14 minutes for the Chinese.

Vanesha McGee, Jillion Potter, Nathalie Marchino, Deven Owsiany, Kaelene Lundstrum, Kimber Rozier and Erica Cavanaugh all chimed in on the score sheet and Baravilala and Rozier helped stretch the lead with their boots.
