When and how did you start playing rugby?
My older brother was a senior in high school when I was a freshman and was also the captain of the football team. I always wondered what it was like for him to play out on the field in front of so many people, and under the lights and what not. So when I didn’t make my high school’s volleyball team and needed another sport to play, and knowing that I did not want to play football, I asked one of the P.E. teachers at my school if we had a rugby team. I started playing when I was 14 and the rest is history.
What is the best thing about being a USA pool player?
The best thing about being a USA player is knowing that I am representing my country, and knowing that there are hundreds of others, young and old, who are looking on and who want nothing but for us to be successful. Every time I play I use that as inspiration to make them proud and to help towards giving them a USA team that this country can be proud to call their own and their favorite.

What does representing your country mean to you?
In my eyes representing my country, to put it simply, is an honor. Being in such a position to represent the U.S. brings a sense of duty to me as an athlete to ensure that I am performing to my utmost ability with the goal of giving Americans something to be proud of.
