THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — With injuries resulting from the week’s events, Devin Keller has been tabbed to join the Women’s Eagles for the remainder of team’s France series. The hooker bolsters the front row that sustained injury during the opening French test.
“We are really excited to have Devin come out here because she has a lot of skills to bring to this squad,” said Pete Steinberg on Keller’s arrival. “She definitely has what it takes to make a difference on the field.”
Katy Augustyn has an upper-body injury that has resulted in Keller joining the squad.
Keller becomes available for the Women’s Eagles in the final two contests of its three test series against France. The Top 60 Camp participant will travel out to Cal Lutheran University on Sunday.
Conflicts in schedule and travel arrangements kept Keller from joining the team sooner.
“Thankfully this is a domestic tour,” pointed out Steinberg. “If this were an international tour, we would have taken three hookers.”
A note of interest and a reason for the conflict in schedule, she will be traveling with her 1-year-old daughter, Eva.
Augustyn is listed as day-to-day on the injury report.
