Roster named for AIG WJAAs' U20 Nations Cup opener

LONG EATON, England – After three intense days training at Trent College, the USA Rugby AIG Women’s Junior All-Americans have named their squad to face Canada in the opening match of the U20 Nations Cup Thursday, July 11, at 12:00 P.M. ET. The team will be captained by openside flanker Bitsy Cairns and will feature three girls already capped for the Senior Eagles team.

“We have a squad that will be physical, fit and mentally tough for a very competitive Canada U20 side,” WJAA Head Coach Danielle Miller said. “The training staff have kept the health and recovery of the girls a high priority, and I believe it will pay off for the duration of the tournament.”

The game against neighbors Canada is the first of four matches in the tournament, with games against South Africa and England to follow and a potential Championship Game Sunday, July 21.
