    The Shanagher Morrison Referee Fund (named after two of USA Rugby’s most storied referees) was created to encourage more young people to become referees and is completely donor funded through USA Rugby Trust. The fund covers all costs, including travel and lodging and living expenses, for the recipient to travel and spend an entire season refereeing in a major rugby country.

    Joseph Cavatoni was introduced to rugby in the late 1980s, watching his older brother play at the university level. In 1991 he connected with and was welcomed to the New York Athletic Clubs' rugby team. He is now a recurring donor to USA Rugby Trust.
