USA Rugby's Regional Cup Tournaments (RCTs) are the pathway to the High School All American Teams!

Each RCT has two Divisions for both boys and girls, Varsity and Junior Varsity, where America's best players compete for a Regional Cup Champoinship.

The top 50 girls and boys in the RCTs will be selected to attend the USA Rugby Stars and Stripes camp.

FAQs

What is RCT?

"RCT" stands for Regional Cup Tournaments. Each RCT is organized by the local State Rugby Organizations (SRO).

What is the goal of RCT?

The goal of each RCT is to showcase the very best talent for JV and Varsity rugby in the area. From here players will be scouted by USA Rugby Coach-appointed scouts and nominated to the "USA Rugby Stars v Stripes Camp" which is an elite development camp for both players and coaches. At this camp players will be taught by USA Rugby High Performance coaches as well as promising coaches, who were nominated themselves, to attend this elite camp.

How do I participate in RCT?

How much are the Tournament fees?

Tournament fees are $400 per team until May 15th, and then will be raised to $500 until registration closes completely on June 1st. The fees are the same for both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.

Who is eligible to play on a Varsity Team?

A player is eligible for a Varsity team if they were enrolled as a Junior or Senior in high school for the 2014-2015 school year, and were 18 or younger on September 1st of the 2014-2015 school year. No college or adult players allowed.

Who is eligible to play on a Junior Varsity team?

A player is eligible for a Junior Varsity team if they were enrolled as a Freshmen or Sophomore in high school for the 2014-2015 school year. 8th graders are not permitted to participate in the Jr Varsity tier.
