Spend a season officiating in New Zealand

USA Rugby is now accepting applications for the 2014 Don Morrison Scholarship

The Don Morrison Scholarship will allow aspiring referees (aged 18-25) to spend the entire 2014 season (from late March through August) in Christchurch, New Zealand, as a full-time member of the Canterbury Referee Association.

While in New Zealand, the recipient will have the opportunity to learn from and train with some of the best referees in the world. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that offers full immersion in one of the world's top rugby nations.

All costs including travel, lodging and living expenses will be covered by the Morrison Fund in honor of one of USA Rugby's most accomplished referees, Don Morrison.

Application Requirements:

  • 18-25 years of age
  • Current Membership with USA Rugby (CIPP)
  • Two Recommendations
  • Rugby and Officiating Resume
  • Essay Questions
