BOULDER, Colo. – At any point throughout a match the referee has to be watching for a handful of things - from a player being offside during a kick to what constitutes a tackle. The USA Rugby Match Official Development department has provided a new resource for rugby referees new and old to sharpen their skills and continue to improve.

A short list of seven audio tracks breaking down rules and regulations for which referees must look in specific game areas will serve as a checklist for referees. The tracks cover kickoffs, the tackle, rucks, mauls, scrums, lineouts and kicks in general play.

The checklist was made in downloadable audio format so it would be accessible to listen to on the way to the match or whenever needed. Download the referee tracks from the Referee Resources page. Be on the lookout for other resources to come in the future.
