 Universal Sports Presents Over 8 Hours of Live Multiplatform Coverage of the Legendary Rugby Sevens World Series in Hong Kong


Matches will begin on Saturday night, March 26 at 12 Midnight ET/9pm PT


Los Angeles, CA- March 24, 2011--Universal Sports will deliver more than eight hours of LIVE coverage of the HSBC Rugby Sevens World Series in Hong Kong on Saturday night, March 26 beginning at 12:00 midnight ET, 9:00 p.m. PT. The broadcast will feature all of the Cup matches, from the quarter-finals to the finals. Additionally, all the semi-finals and finals of the Shield, Plate and Bowl brackets will be shown.


Hong Kong, the fifth stop of the 2011 HSBC Rugby Sevens World Series, is the largest and most prestigious tournament on the annual tour, featuring boisterous multinational crowds at the sold-out Hong Kong Stadium. The field consists of 24 national teams that will play over 60 games in three days. Last year, Samoa came from behind to beat perennial favorites New Zealand to win the Cup final. They would eventually go on to win the 2010 Sevens World Series championship. Currently, the All Blacks are tied with England for first place in the series standings.
