BOULDER, Colo. – Tickets have today been released for one of the year’s most anticipated international rugby matches between the Men’s Eagles and the Maori All Blacks at Philadelphia’s PPL Park November 9.
Starting at just $15, tickets for the 20,000-seat stadium are expected to sell fast for the match, which takes place two weeks after the Eagles’ two-leg Rugby World Cup Qualifier against Canada.
“It’s a privilege to be able to host a world class team such as the Maori All Blacks here on American soil,” USA Rugby Chief Executive Officer and President of Rugby Operations Nigel Melville said. “With the recent record-breaking attendance at our match against Ireland in Houston, we are hoping another premier venue like PPL Park will draw an enthusiastic crowd to celebrate the progress being made to grow the game here in the United States.
“The Eagles will continue to benefit from the level of competition to be brought from the Maori All Blacks. It is also a great opportunity for our sponsors, broadcasters and media partners to be involved in a true international rugby experience.”
“It is great to have AIG – a commercial partner of both USA Rugby and the New Zealand Rugby Union – eager to bring two unions together competitively on U.S. soil,” USA Rugby Chief Commercial Officer Jon Persch said. “AIG has been an outstanding partner to both and is hugely-supportive of the event on the east coast.”
