BOULDER, Colo. – Men’s Eagles Head Coach Mike Tolkin has called on 30 Eagles for the pre-Pacific Nations Cup camp at Glendale’s Infinity Park. Players will begin arriving at Denver International Airport Friday and train at the home of the Glendale Raptors for a week before leaving for Edmonton to face Canada on May 25.
Among the camp attendees is captain Todd Clever, as well as Luke Hume and Blaine Scully, who just finished the IRB HSBC Sevens World Series with the Men’s Eagles Sevens in London last weekend.
Tolkin will choose 24 of the 30 players at camp to travel to Edmonton to participate in the match at Ellerslie Rugby Park. With plenty of talent on show in Denver, Tolkin can put together any roster knowing his side will give Canada a tough test.
Tolkin will also use the Denver camp to get an idea of the Men’s Eagles roster for the international test match against Ireland at Houston’s BBVA Compass Stadium June 8 (remaining tickets on sale here). After the Canada match, the Eagles will return to Denver for a pre-Ireland camp and will travel to Houston June 1.
Look for Tolkin’s roster to be released next week for the Pacific Nations Cup match against Canada.
