It was always going to be a physical and close encounter between the USA and hosts Georgia, but a last minute Georgian try pulled the home team ahead in the waning seconds of the match with a final score of 17-19.
USA’s smashing defense will take on hosts Georgia in Tblisi on November 27 in what should be a highly physical and lively affair between two rising rugby nations. The Eagles will have a shot at going three for three in their 2010 international test matches.
The Eagles fell at the hands of Scotland ‘A’ in the third match of their November Tour. Scotland ‘A’ put 25 points on the board against the visiting Americans at Netherdale Stadium. The Eagles will look to gain experience from the Scotland loss and focus on the IRB ranking test against Georgia on November 27.
