BOULDER, Colo. – Four teams successfully navigated through the Women’s Division I Regional Playoffs, and in doing so qualified for the National Semifinals at Stanford University.
Penn State continues its quest for a ninth National Championship after scoring an astounding 197 points in its two wins over the weekend. Stanford qualified for its third consecutive National Semifinal after getting past a very difficult Cougar Women’s Rugby Club on day two of the West Regional. West Chester will make its first appearance in the National round of four after disposing Georgia Tech and New Mexico over the weekend. Lastly, American International pushed its winning streak to eight over the weekend, and punched its ticket to Stanford in the process.

As part of the College National Championship Series, Penn State will play West Chester and Stanford will be up against American International in the National Semifinal May 9. The winners from the round of four will meet the following day to decide the Women’s DI College National Champion. All Semifinal and Final matches from Stanford University will be streamed live on USA Rugby TV.
