BOULDER, Colo. – Big time score lines were plentiful on day one of the Emirates Airline USA Rugby Men’s College Playoffs, while some teams were made to struggle to advance to day two.

Boulder, CO – Following an exciting opening to the College playoffs in the Women’s bracket, The Emirates Airline USA Rugby 2012 Men’s Division I-AA & II College Playoffs get underway this weekend all across the country.

Boulder, Colo. - The cream of the Emirates Airline Division I and II Women’s College Playoffs rose to the top on the third straight day of competition. After some massive blowouts and last second heart stoppers, America’s best DI and II rugby programs are now ready to do battle.

Two teams have dropped out of the Men's and Women's DII College Playoffs, opening the door for one team to still have a shot at a national title.

(Kelley L. Cox foto) The 32 women’s college rugby teams that will battle in the first round of the Emirates Airline USA Rugby Women’s Division I and Division II playoffs have been confirmed. Sixteen teams from each division will be competing in four different locations around the country from April 20-22, 2012.

USA Rugby is extremely proud and humbled to announce that the United States Marine Corps is now an Official Partner of USA Rugby Collegiate Division 1A, the elite men’s college rugby competition in America.

USA Rugby confirmed today that Collegiate Director, Todd Bell, has stepped down from his position. USA Rugby would like to thank Todd for his contributions to the collegiate game.
