UW Stout

Stout Rugby is a club sport at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. We are a member of the Division 2 WIIL conference, and also a member of the USA Rugby Division 2 collegiate level.
Established in 1979, Stout Rugby has had plenty of success at many of the collegiate levels. Some notables have been the Wisconsin D2 Collegiate Champions 2000-03 and 2005-06, Midwest D1 Collegiate Final Four 2003, and Midwest D2 Collegiate Final Four 2000-02 and 2005-06. Stout has also shown immediate success in the newly formed D2 WIIL Conference and Nationally. Several alumni compete at all levels with Metropolis Men's and Madison Men's Clubs, along with other local men's teams.

Prospective Players

"The UW-Stout Rugby Program is a club sport that in recent years has experienced great success both on and off the field. This would not be possible with out the dedication of present and past team members and with out the steady stream of players from the regional high school rugby programs. The Blue Devils Rugby Program for 2013 have set new goals, and to obtain these goals we are looking for disciplined and team-oriented student-athletes. If you are interested in structure, hard work, pride and the team concept, then UW Stout may be the rugby program for you. Having said that, we would be negligent if we did not mentioned that the program has rules. Our No.1 Rule on the team is that school and academics comes first along with religion and that rugby is second.
