UT Dallas

About

The UT Dallas Rugby Club was started in the spring of 2011 with a few students that wanted to play the game. They recruited enough guys to inquire about joining the Texas Rugby Union. Due to a couple of exhisting clubs folding before the season began, UTD was granted membership in the TRU DIII competition. We played in 2 round robin tourneys and 2 friendly matches and lost each one, but there was improvement in each game. By the time of our first league match, we won. We kept working hard at improving our skills and building the friendships we had competing. By the end of our first league season, we found ourselves undefeated and playing for the TRU DIII Championship. The getting an invite to compete in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) Elite 8 competition.
The UT Dallas Rugby Club: Third Place in the UT San Antonio Collegiate Round Robin Tournament. Won the Texas Rugby Union Collegiate Division III Championship. Finished our first season ranked 16th in the nation in the NSCRO competition.
