About

The Syracuse University Women's Rugby Club is a university club sport that competes throughout the New York region. SUWRFC provides a challenging athletic experience in a flexible, supportive environment. This experience includes skill development, fitness, education, and playing the most exciting game in the world: Rugby. The club welcomes all athletic backgrounds and abilities. Best of all, there are no cuts and everybody plays.

Founded in 1997, SUWRFC has a tradition of excellence. Most notably, 2009 New York State Rugby Conference Division 1 Champions and NRU Final Four Qualifiers, as well as coming in second in the state in 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2007. SUWRFC made it to the ACRA sweet 16 in 2013. Syracuse is currently a Division I team competing in the Division II Empire Upstate Conference.
