About

The Santa Clara University Women's Rugby Club is a member of the West Coast Rugby Conference and competes with other universities in Northern California. We participate in Division 2 of USA Rugby collegiate rugby. This club provides an opportunity for women at SCU to get involved with the campus community and build lasting friendships. There's no better way to learn about ultimate teamwork, sportsmanship and commitment than by playing SCU Women's Rugby.
The Santa Clara University Women's rugby was founded in 1997. The 2010-11 season was the most successful in team history, finishing first in league and earning a trip to USA rugby's Collegiate national championships, finishing the season with a ranking of 15th in the nation. SCU was also invited to participate in the first ever collegiate 7s national championship where they finished 7th. From 2011- Present SCU has had 3 All-Americans and 1 Academic All-American. Annually, we go to Las Vegas to participate and watch the Las Vegas 7s.
