About

Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) Lions is the first community college in the state of Virginia to have a men's and women's rugby program, and to record a win. LFCC is located in Middletown, Virginia. The players are from the counties of Clarke, Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren. The Women's program will be one of the few, if not the only, community colleges to be competing Nationally in women's college rugby. LFCC is a two-year college, with aspirations that the student athletes "ruggers" transfer and play at a four-year University or College. Lord Fairfax Community College has transfer agreements with most Colleges and Universities in Virginia.
Nationally Ranked #27-LFCC's Men finished first year of league competition in Fall '12 ranked. LFCC Men's Rugby was established in the Spring of 2011 with 21 players. The program began competing at the Division III level in the Fall of 2011. The team is a member of the Virginia Rugby Union. First Community College Rugby program to be ranked.

Prospective Players

*Practice Times: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Athletic Field, Middletown Campus. Players may join anytime during the season. No experience needed.
