One of the largest and most active club sports on campus, Hamilton Men's Rugby competes in the New York Rugby Empire East Div. II conference, frequently facing such schools as Colgate, RPI, Siena, and Union. Led by head coach Paul, the team anticipates another great season in the upcoming fall, with a large number of rising sophomores and juniors leading the way. New players are always welcome to join the team, and no prior experience is necessary. Practices are held Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. on Minor Field (off of Green Apple Way) during the Fall and Spring.
Founded in 1977, the Exiles have been one of Hamilton's most successful and well attend club sports, capturing 3 State Titles, a NCAA playoff berth, and moving up to compete in DII, despite Hamilton being a resoundingly DIII school. Last season, Fall 2012, the Exiles fought through injuries to get to the State Semi-Final, and are looking to repeat the trend again in 2013.
