AboutThe CSUF Women’s Rugby Team is a California State University, Fullerton club sport that competes with teams throughout the Southern California Region. The CSUF Women’s Rugby team enjoys a strong tradition of athletic success combined with community and campus support. We participate in Division II of USA Rugby college rugby and compete annually with these schools: USC, Cal State Northridge, Occidental, Cal State Long Beach, UC Riverside, Cal Lutheran, UC Irvine, and Claremont College. We compete with honor, passion, and respect and are more than just teammates, we are a sisterhood.
"Founded in 2009, the CSUF Women’s Rugby Team has a tradition of excellence, including being invited to nationals our first year of being in Division II, coming in second in our division our third year of play, and coming in third our third year of play. We are honored to have Sabrina Kraft on our team who was invited to play for the U20 National Team. Sabrina helped the team in winning the Collegiate Nationals. We are also glad to have Natasha Perera to play for us. Natasha has been playing rugby for 10 years now. She has played for Fullerton youth, The Southern California Griffin Girls which is a top ranked team. She has traveled with the “Griffins - The All Stars of Southern California “to Sri Lanka to play the Sri Lankan Women’s team. She has also been featured in Rugby Magazine. Natasha joined CSUF Women’s Rugby Team in the 2011-2012 season and she has been an amazing asset to the team; she is a great leader on and off the field and has a great passion for the game. The CSUF Women’s Rugby Team is here to stay and because of our shared love for the game we will make sure that we stay recognized on the CSUF campus and get far in our division. "
