Boston U

Boston University Women’s Rugby Football Club competes in the Northeast Women’s Rugby Conference (NWRC). The club began in 1981 with the club playing against women's teams that corresponded to the men's games. The team was primarily coached by either Beantown or Boston Women's players and would practice either on Magazine beach or in the parks of Brookline.

Now, the team competes in 15s during the Fall season and 7s in the Spring season. During the Fall, the team plays typically 8-10 matches and competes against other competitive club teams in the Northeast area. During the Spring, the team plays in 5-8 tournaments, culminating in a team road trip to the Collegiate Rugby Championship Invitational in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the past three years.

The team plays home games on the newly resurfaced (Summer 2015) Nickerson Field.
