Allegheny College

About

The women's rugby program at Allegheny is a completely student-run club sport. Our record as D-III champs in 2004 and again in 2006 is proof of what a dedicated group of talented girls can accomplish. Additionally, the women's rugby team has recently become the only Division II sport at Allegheny College. We are an enthusiastic, growing team that is always looking for new players. We have a huge love for the game and want to teach the sport to anyone willing to listen. We have tons of fun together and work hard to play the best that we can, so if you are interested in joining the team, we would love to hear from you. Our club mission statement is as follows: The Allegheny Women’s Rugby Club shall have five main objectives: to promote among members of the Allegheny community an increased understanding and awareness of rugby; play rugby; provide an opportunity for discussion of rugby; provide an organization through which interested students can become involved in learning to play rugby and aid and increase rugby awareness in the Meadville community.
DIII champions in 2004 and 2006, voted "Best Friend to Greek Life" at Allegheny College, won a tournament in April of 2013.
