"The University of Alabama Rugby Football Club is a university club sport that competes with teams throughout the Southeast. The University of Alabama enjoys a strong tradition of athletic success combined with community and campus support. The Rugby team is a member of the Southeastern Rugby Conference and competes annually with these Auburn University, University of Mississippi, Louisiana State University and Mississippi State University. We participate in Divison I-AA of USA Rugby college rugby. We are members of the University of Alabama Sports Club Association. "

Prospective Players

"The University of Alabama accepts all interested students, of all skill and fitness levels, with any or no rugby experience. Any students interested in playing need only come out to practice and join in. No experience is necessary. We welcome players with experience, and players that are new to the game. We have over 40 players on the squad and everyone gets to play.We practice every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-6:00 Pm at The University of Alabama Rec Fields. Only equipment necessary for practice is cleats and a mouthguard. No level of experience is required, the majority of our starting side began playing rugby in college with no previous experience.
